  History:
The SKOT medium, wheeled, armored infantry carrier was designed in Czechoslovakia in 1961, though basic design was developed with a help of Polish engineers. After being accepted for use, the vehicle was still under development. The later variants received - most required - defensive armament in form of KPWT 14,5 mm and PKT 7,62 mm machine guns installed in special turret. SKOTs were later built in special variants, as mobile command posts, technical support cars and mines' detection vehicles. They were in use with Polish and Czechoslovak armies only. SKOT 2AP was series produced version used for infantry's transport and support. Completely redesigned gun's turret of WAT type enabled firing at aerial targets.The transport area was occupied by ten soldiers. The crew consisted of driver, gunner and commander.
